When we originally planned to pour into the small community of Greenville, Ohio (population of 14,000) the Lord simply wouldn’t release our team to name it reviveGREENVILLE or reviveDARKECOUNTY. In our prayer time, He was showing us there was something more. Something that we couldn’t articulate, but knew was coming…
And so as the Spirit led us with the neighboring Midwest state of Indiana, we were prompted to pursue the state, rather than just one community. Over the course of 3 weeks in Darke County, we didn’t know how it would spread or to where, but it became apparent – word was spreading to other villages, towns and cities across the state. Pastors and leaders from other counties were visiting Darke County. reviveOHIO was taking off…
It reminds me of what took place in the Acts of the Apostles. Acts 9:31 says, “So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace, being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and it increased in numbers.”
reviveOHIO has officially been invited to travel to 3 other communities in the state.
- Auglaize County has been confirmed: October 9-15.
- Dayton has been determined: October 23-29.
- Miami County has been placed on the calendar: November 13-19.
Crazy to think – because of the obedience of believers in Darke County, the Gospel is spreading throughout the Buckeye State.
How many towns and cities will we go to? Yet to be determined…
We are simply pursuing His guidance and listening to the Holy Spirit one community at a time and one day at a time.
